i have a few questions about food and eating if im trying to loose weigh. ( i do run daily, 15 minutes about & am in cheerleading and volleyball)
i eat penut butter sandwitches but i heard penut butter has alot of calories. is it okay to eat or should i cut down?
also what is a good breakfast cereal (i eat cereal all the time, i love it), nothing like special K or something designed for weight loose, but a healthy cereal that still tastes good?
advicegal26 answered Sunday February 18 2007, 9:37 pm: you sound pretty busy/active. running daily is very good along with your other sports. peanut butter does have plenty of calories but some kinds can be healthier than others so the next time you go to the store check the nutrients. but be careful not to come overly obsessed with your weight, just from my personal experience. also, some cereals such as the kashi brands are very healthy, not only for weight but for your heart and all that jazz. i am really picky with food and such but i don't mind the most of the kashi brands. laugh out loud. hope i helped some. LM answered Sunday February 18 2007, 9:33 pm: Peanut butter has 190 calories per two tablespoons. Measure it out. Chances are, you're using about half that to make your average sandwich.
That's less than 100 calories. Plus, you're getting a ton of protein. And, peanut butter is one of those foods that keeps you full for a long time. So it's fine to eat, unless peanut butter sandwiches are ALL you're eating. Then you've got a problem :)
Good cereals are low in sugar and high in vitamins/minerals. Cheerios, Wheaties (Breakfast of Champions, can't go wrong!) Total, Life, Mini Wheats, and cornflakes. Plus, you can eat special K even if you're not following that "lose 6 lbs in 2 weeks! thing. It's a good cereal, but I still prefer cornflakes or something of that sort.
hco_babe answered Sunday February 18 2007, 9:29 pm: peanut butter is ok for you, but certainly NOT everyday. if you are trying to lose weight stick to only eating it two or three days during the week. some healthy cereals include apple jacks and frosted mini wheats.
