cell phone

Question Posted Sunday February 18 2007, 11:20 am

OK, I have a RAZR Motorola phone, a red one if that helps & I just got it for Christmas, & I love it! But every website I go to for ringtones none of them have free tunes, i have to select some weird plan thing. ughh...
anyway,
you know the little button on the side where it lets you record stuff??
well my friend's friend did it with hers and she was able to set it as her ringtone.
does anyone know how to set it as a ringtone?
thanks

I have the same phone (but in silver). Well my phone's been missing for quite some time so i don't remember EXACTLY what each little button's called but when you go to the menu go to the category all the way to the left and then it'll have some options. Go to "Get New Tunes" and it show all the sounds you have on your phone along with get a new tune , record new, and all this other stuff. Well go to what you want as your ringtone and go to options and "Set As Ringtone". This is if you have Verizon .. sorry I don't know about the others = Hope I helped! ♥

If you have verizon, you can send a ringtone to yourself, but you need to cut part of the song out. You can do it with this Media Cutter program. The trial is only 10 days, but it's better than nothing. Save the file as .wav and then you can send email to your phone. Use this address: your#herewithareacode@vzwpix.com

that's the site to get the media cutter.

you can only do that with older phones, newer ones are set up so you HAVE to buy their ringtones. otherwize have your friend bluetooth her tones to your phone or any other friend with bluetooth cause thats free.
