jamziix16 answered Thursday February 15 2007, 11:45 pm: if you have terrible acne, go to the doctor and get prescribed medicine. i use "retin-a-micro" and it works well! i've also used duac and that also works good. retin-a-micro is a topical gel, and duac is a cream. you can also take pills to reduce it. hope i helped =] [ jamziix16's advice column | Ask jamziix16 A Question ]

They can prescribe stronger skin medications which work better (usually) that store bought stuff. You can use medication and just wash your face with soap and water. =] [ fish34's advice column | Ask fish34 A Question ]

What I use is Neutrogena facial wash that contains Salicylic Acid. It actually keeps my skin clear. I had a huge problem with acne once but using that really cleared it up.
Avoid cleansers with microbeads because it just digs the bacteria into our skin even more. Also, Triclosan (bacteria-killing ingredient), can really help.
Stridex wash foam works really well, too, which also contains the infamous ingredient Salicylic Acid.
I also wouldn't recommend the shortcut of facial acne wipes (such as Oxypads) because in my opinion they suck.

The solution I'm speaking of: LEMON JUICE
yes.. I know.. but what you need to do is apply it to your face with a cotton ball or Q-tip and only to the areas where acne exists. Don't wash off the Lemon Juice, and don't touch your face after applying.
Its best to apply it just before bed, so you don't feel the urge to scratch your face or whatever conscientiously.
Most families have a bottle of Lemon Juice in their fridge, and if you don't- its fairly cheap.
Hope I helped, and if you have anymore questions about this all.. because someone always does.. just feel free to ask in my inbox.
