dont all of you columnists HATE when you give a great answer to a question and they dont rate you? i do. or if they rate you a 3 because you tell them something they dont want to hear, but it's still good info!!!! ya that bothers me.
Additional info, added Thursday February 15 2007, 7:23 pm: ok ppl stop answering this as "lets focus on giving advice" i have enough answers already like tht. :). Doesn't bother me if they rate me a 3 for telling them something they don't want to hear. A 3 is a good rating. Not something to get your feathers ruffled about.
It bothers me when they give 1's for that reason. Or when 5's are handed out so freely when the answer only consists of a sentence or two.
If they don't rate me at all, I don't know if they thought my advice was good or not. It would be nice to know, but other than that, I don't really care. Ratings aren't what I'm here for.
Also, just because you think the answer you gave was great, doesn't mean they thought it was. Just like I think this is a great answer, but you may not. [ Brandi_S's advice column | Ask Brandi_S A Question ]
Cux answered Thursday February 15 2007, 8:21 pm: A three isn't a bad rating. Besides, when you give advice, it should be about the good feeling you get. I don't answer questions to get good ratings. In the end that doesn't matter. I only answer questions because I feel like I need to in order to feel good for that day. Even getting a 3 or above should be a blessing.
