Hi. I hope I put this question in the right category. :-) Anywho, I am veryyyy shy around guys. Idk why, I'm not shy around girls or guys I'm good friends with. But I'm really shy around guys I don't know well and I don't want to be. My best friends are always flirting with guys and always being asked out and I think I'm just as pretty as them, but guys never ask me out because unlike my friends, I'm really shy and nervous around guys. How can I be more confident and outgoing around guys without being so weirdly nervous and quiet? It's not fun being the only one without a boyfriend, or even lots of guy friends, for that matter. :-/ :-/ :-/

Did you bump into him in the hall? Meet him through someone else? Think back for a little while. Some guys find it very attractive when a girl makes the first move while others like to figure out a mystery! Maybe sit down next to a guy you like at lunch one day and talk to him a little. But the next, don't if you want to be mysterious, be on & off. It confuses them and makes it fun for them so they won't fall for anyone else. If you'd rather be obvious, go to the movies with a bunch of girl friends and guy friends and tell the guy you're going to the movies on Saturday with a group of friends-It IMMEDIATELY takes the pressure off of one on one & getting tongue tied and embarassed. Believe me, whichever method you choose you should probably get to know what kind of guy he's like to see if he likes the mystery or the obviousness. Good luck!
At one point I had the same problem, but this worked for me, it gets you lots of attention with the guys, believe me! ;) [ Depressed_Poet's advice column | Ask Depressed_Poet A Question ]
