aches I just got over having some type of illness, but now the whole side of my left face aches. its my head, jaw, and ear. i thought it was my teeth and my gums too, but now i realize that it was just my jaw that is making it feel that way. It is weird, because when my head was hurting before, it ONLY hurt on the left side... not the right. I have never had that happen before, but its the same with my ear and jaw. My ear feels like there is water in it, like when i talk..it kinda sounds distant or something. And my jaw just.. hurts bad. it is hard to chew

well, it depends. did you by any chance hit yourself there recently? If not, it's most likely an ear infection. Those things are nasty. See a doctor right away!

I think you might have an ear infection, and possibly a pretty bad one. That will affect your ear and your jaw and make it hard to eat. If left untreated, it will either go away or get worse. With what you described, I don't think it is something you want to wait out to see if it goes away on its own. My son ended up in the hospital for 5 days because of an ear infection left untreated. So, go to your doctor asap. They will be able to just look in your ear and tell you what is going on and give you the appropriate medicine.
Oh, not only did my son end up in the hospital, I also met a woman just a couple days ago who had a sinus infection that got out of hand. It ended up eating away part of her skull. She has opted not to get surgery to put in a titanium plate, though that means her brain is not protected in the area above her left eye. I knew infections could cause a lot of damage, having seen the fluid build up behind my son's ear, but this really surprised me and now I take these things even more seriously. Please see your doctor and get it taken care of right away.
EDITED TO RESPOND TO FEEDBACK QUESTION: I think the chances of the drainage causing such severe damage are probably pretty low, but you should certainly get rid of the problem as soon as possible just to be certain you avoid complications. Only a doctor can really tell you what can and can't happen, or what is actually happening. Good luck, and let me know how you are doing. ]
See a doctor, because that sounds insanely weird. ]
