modeling
i recently got into a modeling agency and i was sooo excited! i was really afraid that i would be in a group wiht gorgeous girls & that they would really intimidate me.. but then wehn i went to my first class the girls i saw were like, relaly not that pretty. in fact they were uglier than most of my friends, who were all either average lookng or prettty. sorry if this sounds REALLY shallow, but why the heck would the modeling agency choose ugly people (this is john roberts & barbizon people!) ..i mean some of them weren't even UNIQuE looking!? sooo then i didn't feel that special for getting into the program b/c ugly people got in too..but whyy do they choose those kind of people?

Not to be a downer, but this modeling agency isnt very exclusive. I saw a ad for it on this page, actually.
It's like where in the mall somebody comes up to you and says you can be a model, and you end up paying a ton of money for headshots and such, and really your the one who got ripped off.
and take a look at runway models. a lot of them, are not ideally attractive to most people. But models are meant to showcase what they are wearing, not be godesses. cept the Victoria's Secret models, whom I envy deeply hehehe.
Anyway, many many many models are chosen for their personality and not just their looks, because how they walk and talk always shines through, even in their pictures.
So don't worry about those other girls, and try your best as a model. As cliche as it sounds, beauty is skin deep. So smile, let your personality shine, and never give up on your dreams.

really, its not all about modeling. And besides,just because you can't see uniqueness doesn't mean older people can. You define people in a different way tha n they do. Modeling isn't always being pretty,thats what make up if for,hun. Its if you have a good personality and are fun to be around,and an Idol to others. Wow,you were quite shallow,hah. Well,get to know them befor you judge on solely looks. You know on americas next top model? i didnt find some of them to pretty,but they didnt have to be. they were different and were an insparation. So, i guess its good to be confident,hah anyways it was JUST looks that mattered in this world,some of my friends wouldn't be mine. Looks never get anyone that far. Look at everyones features. You'll be surprised! well i hope i helped. and good luck with modeling hun!

ohmygod! To start off, i was called for john robert powers too! I got accepted but my dad said it was way to expensive. well, first off, the girls are there to learn how to MODEL and ACT. So they don't have to be like super pretty. and don't forget, everyone is unique in there own way. Even if you can't see it on their face. This is mostly an acting agency so you don't always have to be pretty to act. If you have the talent then you're in.

i`m guessing you are in jrp [john robert powers], i was accepted there too. well, jrp is not only for modeling, it`s for acting as well. not all actors are pretty. &this is really shallow. no offense, but get over yourself.
