Well, first- if the box didn't come with a CD, you have to go to apple.com and find your way to iTunes download.. and download it.
Then, plug your iPod Nano into the computer with the USB port into the computer. Then, your iPod's information will pop up and you can name it [Your Name Here]'s iPod. You charge it the same way that you just did. Plug it into your computer and it will show a battery if it is charging, then you just gave to wait a little while, and it will charge.. and it will be obvious when its done charging. And when it says "Do not disconnect" don't disconnect it until it says you are able to.

**EDITTTTT;;;
yes, that means its charging. when its full i'm not sure what it will do.. just take it off and look at the battery meter thing on the ipod nano's screen and see if its full. =) [ 0NEL0VEEx's advice column | Ask 0NEL0VEEx A Question ]

The only thing I can say is that my husband has an MP3 player and it charges by plugging it into the computer. Other than that, I'm completely clueless. I know nothing about ipods.
