Question Posted Thursday February 8 2007, 8:09 pm

im a 14/f and i want to get my belly button pierced. I kno it will hurt alot but i can deal. whenever i try to ask my parents to let me get it though they say no because it will hurt, or because its mutilating my body. I dont understand why they say that though because its not like its their body, they always have the stupidest excuses. so how can i convince them to say yes?

Yah. Good luck with that. They obviously aren't going to change their minds. They are making excuses as to why you can't because you keep asking.

I wanted to get my nose pierced as a teen, but my parents said no way until I was 18. So, I just waited out the time. I know it seems like forever, but it really isn't. Once you are 18, you can pierce whatever you want.

ALWAYS have body piercings done by a professional. Don't try to do it yourself in order to defy your parents. Doing it unprofessionally can cause many problems.
