My school is offering a school trip to Europe for the first time for Ap european history course (first year it's offered). My friends and I really want to go, since we're seniors and it'll be the first and last school trip we'll take. The problem is the trip overall is about 3000 dollars (for like 11 days trip) and not all of us can afford it. I know at least three of my friends 100% cant go if they cant gain any travel grants of any sorts(even 50% will work for them) and i really want them to go.
Does anyone know where we can obtain student travel grants? We've tried google but we haven't gotten any responses back yet. These are my closest friends since elementary school and i am really praying that they can somehow obtain grants and go too so any suggestions/advice will be greatly appreciated!!!
Additional info, added Tuesday February 6 2007, 2:28 am: I was also considering asking ebay but apparently it says on their website "eBay Foundation does not fund or accept unsolicited requests for funding." so that doesnt work. I really want my friends to go, im willing to do anything so please help!!. Want to answer more questions in the Work & School category? Maybe give some free advice about: Personal Finance? Anything that you could all do to try and raise some money towards the costs. Another idea worth trying would be a talent contest with a small prize for the winner. If you charged a small fee for everyone entering you might be surprised at how much interest is shown. Try asking local business people for sponsorship or doing car washes. I am sure you could come up with lots of ways to earn a little cash. I wish you all the best of luck and hope that you all get to have this amazing experience.
