k well i'm 14/f
i've been around alcohol my whole life, well just at like family parties and stuff. but since about last summer i've been drinking, a lot. at first i started with beers, but i don't really like that. so i turn to like vodka, brandy, scotch, whiskey. idk hard liqours. so like i don't drink a lot, because half the time i'm home and i haven't been able to sleep at a friends for a while because i got in trouble. but like i crave it all the time. if i go to my grandma's i always have a sip of scotch while i'm there. maybe more if i can. but like i just want more but i don't let myself incase my parents can tell or smell it on my breath. and if i'm at a friends house i'll drink till i feel sick. and i don't know i crave it all the time and if it was attainable i'd have it all the time probably..so like am i considered an alcoholic and if i am how can i like fix it so i'm not without going into rehab and stuff
also my oldest brother is pretty much one and my less older brother is becoming one
The statistics say that teens who begin drinking by age 15 have a way higher chance of becoming dependant on alcohol than those who wait until they reach 21. So you are putting yourself at a risk of alcohol dependency.

You can either quit cold turkey meaning no alcohol at all which might be best or as much as you dont like the idea go to a school counselor talk to them about your problem or attend some kind of seminar and let your parents in on it even though you might get in trouble at first but its probably best for you.Anything that your doing that you have to hide or cant hold your head up high and announce to the world including your parents that your doing it is usually a good sign that you dont need to be doing it.by the way your enviroment isnt an excuse i grew up with an alcoholic drug addicted father in a drug infested area and ive never did drugs or drank..but you have free will and you are way under age to be drinking and even if you were of age drinking more then 1 or two all the time and craving it is going over board.Drinking could also get you hurt, dead,or put you in other bad situations so quit while your ahead. Annerszz_101 answered Sunday February 4 2007, 11:14 pm: Well, to the person's response before me, you can end up ruining your life unless you don't try to stop. Try to get addicted to something better and healthier for you. For example, I used to be addicted to chocolate, sadly, so I switched to gum, and it's better. Not exactly as serious as your case, but try switching to something else. Have a trusted friend or adult help keep your hands away from anything alcoholic. Good luck & I hope all ends well. Also, I wouldn't consider you an alcoholic, yet, since you don't DRINK it a lot, you just crave it. [ Annerszz_101's advice column | Ask Annerszz_101 A Question ]
