Me and my friend's crush's relationship.

Question Posted Saturday February 3 2007, 10:39 pm

Well, I met my best friend one year ago and once we were good friends last year she told me who she liked. I was kind of in shock and suprised, because it was the guy I thought I always sort of liked. I knew him like a year and a half before that. Throughout that whole year I had to lie and talk to her about him and I guess I was okay with it. Now and ever since then she has like him. The beginning of this school year is when I started to get kind of annoyed about how much my friend talked about him. I always felt like the relationship between me and him was different and my feelings for him were strange, because in my mind I never thought I liked him, but I didnt think I didnt like him either. Every now and then my friend would ask me things like boy questions "Who would you go out with?" and other questions, and sometimes I would say her crush, but in a kidding around way. I never knew if I was kidding around or not though. I could tell that sometimes she would be a bit jealous, because I had the guts to talk to him and she didnt. He was my friend, so it wasnt a big deal. Things are kind of still the same, except that I hardly ever talk to this guy or hardly think of him, but when I do it's like all the same feelings come rushing back to me. I always tell my friend that I'm going to tell her about me and his friendship, because she thinks I used to like him, but its more complicated than that. The big question is that, I dont know how I feel, but how does it seem like i feel ? and how do I tell my friend this ?

Honestly, you need to let her know that you've had a lot of mixed feelings towards him, and you didn't know how to tell her. Tell her how you felt awkward around him since you really didn't know if you liked him or not. It seems like you like him, you're just afraid to like him because you're scared of what your friend might say/think/ or do. So, the best thing to do is talk to her, and try and explain to her how you feel and hopefully, she'll understand. If she gets upset, she really wasn't a good friend after all.
