Sabine answered Thursday February 1 2007, 6:21 pm: Many, many of us have gone through it. I wasn't asleep, either, but I was comfortable with the anesthetic. They will give you pain pills for afterward. The important thing to remember is that ice is your friend right afterward. Eat something a couple of hours before the procedure because you won't be able to eat for a while afterward. Don't eat just before, in case you get nauseated. Talk to parents, siblings, or friends who have already had this done. It's not that terrible. The worst thing I remember is the pressure, not the pain. It's not that bad. Good luck.
