loveismurderbabyyy answered Wednesday January 31 2007, 7:30 pm: Age would help, but no you're absolutly not fat. Also, 600 calories is WAY under the right amount, no matter your age. If you're a teen, you should take in AT LEAST 1,500-2,000 calories a DAY. Eating more would not hurt, especially if you're active. But, it does all depend on how active you are. You burn calories in everything you do, so think about it. Are you super active? Or, are you not active at all? But from now on, try to at least get 1,000+ calories a day if you can. If you keep up the 600 you could become very unhealthy. I hope this helps a bit.
Swiss answered Wednesday January 31 2007, 6:49 pm: Um, I don't think you're fat. Not at all. But 600 calories?! Isn't a regular intake like 2,000 calories a day? ...Anyway, if you're worried about gaining weight if you increase your calorie intake, exercise. See, you can eat more if you exercise, because it gives you energy to do things. What you don't want to do is gorge yourself with food and then sit on the couch and watch television for five hours. That's not good. But no, you're not fat. I just don't want you starving yourself. I don't know how you plan your intake, but if the average intake is 2,000 calories, what you're eating is about 1/4 of what everyone else eats. So, if you're worried about gaining weight with more food, just exercise a little daily. That's all! [ Swiss's advice column | Ask Swiss A Question ]

2 You are eating way way too little. Its totally unhealthy and you risk doing damage to yourself.
3 I will be honest with you. If you increased the calories there is a small chance that in the short term you might gain some weight. Your metabolism is probably rock bottom due to your terrible diet for that last half year.
However, you have to do it. You need this nutrition particularly if you are young. Also even if you do gain a little weight, it will stabilise as soon as your body gets used to a normal pattern of eating.
What you should do is start to eat every 4 hours. Fit in at least 4 balanced meals a day, in the very least double your calories and spread them evenly accross these meals. A little exercise wouldnt be bad either, but first make sure you start to eat right.
