Depression?

Question Posted Wednesday January 31 2007, 3:23 pm

I really dont think im depressed.
I'm a really happy cheery person
I'm basicly like a cheerleader that doesnt cheer lead. I have a million friends and a wonderful boyfriend. However, i have anger problems... i get angry at tiny tiny things but i dont let anyone know im angry it just eats me up inside untill i get home and can cry it out. I hate being like this because i pretend everythings okay, so that if people ask me whats wrong i dont have to say the dumb thing. Sometimes I just want to break down and cry. I really dont think it's PMS beacuse its way worse than that.
xox. thanks

Hey. You sound a lot like me. I really act all goofy and happy all the time and I feel that it will look bad if I get upset over things in front of people so when I get home I'm more upset. I've stopped this though because I learned that when you're hurt about something you have to talk nicely to it the people who have upset you and you will feel so much better. It Will eat you up inside and you Will become depressed. It's not healthy and one day you'll blow your top (sorry for the corney saying =)). To calm yourself down before becoming angry picture the person you're mad at (if it's a person who's frustrating you) doing a little dance on a table in a top hat and bow tie outfit. It will lessen your anger and it's funny because they have no idea what you're thinking. Now I'm not saying to secretly make fun of the person you're mad at but it will help you cope and not become as angry. This way, you'll be able to talk to them calmy if something they said upset you and you'll be able to work things out. I really hope this helped and good luck! =)

I know exactly how you are feeling because I was like that. Now at 27 I am just starting to change. It's hard to tell people your feelings if you are not the kind of person who likes to open up. I always said showing emotions was a sign of weakness. I would punch walls and take things out on my close family members cause that was who I felt most comfortable with. Through the years I've learned to try to let things out and not keep it all bottled up. You are only hurting yourself by doing this. If you are feeling down and somebody asks you what is wrong try to tell them. They wouldn't ask you if they didn't really care. It might be something that you think is stupid but it will feel much better once you talk to somebody about it and get it off your chest. You could also try to write down the things that are bothering you, kind of like a journal. Everytime something comes up that pisses you off grab a pen and paper and write. I have written 5-6 pages before and not even noticed until I was done, and it might help you. I hope I helped you a lil bit :-)

you might want to see your doctor and tell him/her the things that have been happening to you. have you ever thought you could be by polar? i no my sister is and she is somewhat in the same conflict. i think you should atleast tell somebody and mybe they can help you but your best bet would be a doctor maybe its something way smaller then what you think. i hope this helps and sry if it doesnt.
