Urgent Phone Question

Question Posted Tuesday January 30 2007, 12:53 pm

Ohk , i have Verizon but right now I'm not very pleased on their phone selection. I really like a few phones from other carriers. Is it possible to buy a phone at face value from another carrier and use it on Verizon? Is it limited to only a few carriers? I'm sorry , but i REALLY need to know. Thanks in advance!!

Yes i believe you can purchase unlocked phones, and use them with almost any carrier. i would call verizon and double check.

I believe each company has their own phones. If your phone has a sim card in it and you get another phone that uses a sim card then you could use it. I don't think verizon uses sim cards tho, but I am not 100% sure. Did you go on verizon's website and see what phones they have on there? Also if it is near the end of your contract you could just wait it out and start with a new company.
