Dream Interpritation

Question Posted Monday January 29 2007, 4:00 pm

Hey lately I've been having dreams about water and the ocean. The first one, i was swimming in a pool with Orca whales and then my dad and my brother threw them into the ocean so they could be back in the wild. The next one, my dad, grandma, and brother got eaten by sharks while I watched from the window of a rental house. The last one, I was swimming in the ocean with my brother and my friend's dad. The lifegaurd told us to get out of the water because a shark was near. Next thing i know, my friend's dad has the shark in a headlock and killed him. WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN?! Thank you.

Hey. I've had a lot of dreams like you explained but they never really meant anything, although a few of them may have, not quite sure. But I've had about three of these types of dream sequences where I have them constantly. In the past they never really meant anything. I think it's just that your brain is being creative and it may be doing this a few nights in a row. This was always just my assumption but I could be totally wrong. This website is good for explaining dreams [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) The water and sharks may symbolize something but it probably doesn't mean that what you're dreaming means something bad. I really hope this helped! =)

To see water in your dream, symbolizes your unconscious and your emotional state of mind. Water is the living essence of the psyche and the flow of life energy. It is also symbolic of spirituality, knowledge, healing and refreshment. If the water is calm, clear, then it signifies that you are in tune with your spirituality. It denotes serenity, peace of mind, and rejuvenation. If you are splashed by water, then it represents your need to be revitalized and more expressive. To dream that water is boiling, suggests that you are expressing some emotional turmoil. It also may mean that feelings from your unconscious are surfacing and ready to be acknowledged.?

To see muddy or dirty water in your dream, indicates that you are wallowing in your negative emotions. You may need to devote some time to clarify your mind and find internal peace. Alternatively, it suggests that your thinking/judgment is unclear and clouded. If you are immersed in muddy water, then it indicates that you are in over your head in a situation and are overwhelmed by your emotions.

To hear running water in your dream, denotes meditation, reflection and pondering of your thoughts and emotions.

To dream that you are walking on water, suggests that you have supreme and ultimate control over your emotions. It may also suggest that you need to "stay on top" of your emotions and not let them explode out of hand. Alternatively, it is symbolic of faith in yourself.

To see a shark in your dream, represents a person whom you see as greedy and unscrupulous. This person goes after what what he or she wants with no regards to the well-being and sensitivity of others. The shark may also be an aspect of your own personality which exhibit these qualities. Alternatively, you may be going through a difficult, painful, or unpleasant emotional period. The shark symbolizes feelings of anger, hostility, and fierceness. You may be an emotional threat to yourself or to others.
