he's not over his ex.

this guy that i have been hooking up with since nov still isn't over his ex. she says things to him. and everything. how can i try and help him get over her? i have strong feelings for this guy. and i don't want to lose him. i don't truthfully care that much about him being with me but for him to get over her.

hey, well you cant just change someones feelings. its going to take time for him to get over her, especially if there relationship was long or he really loved her. the best things to do would be to a) be there when he needs you or just needs to talk and b) advise him to stay away from her. dont push that subject tho. that will just make things worse and he will just probably think your jealous and wrong about everything.

There really isn't a whole lot you can do to make his feelings for her go away. That's something that he has to get over on his own.

What you CAN do, is keep him away from her. Advise him to stay away from her at all times. The more he sees her, the more he is reminded about her. And, of course, the more he is reminded, the harder it is to forget her.

And you can be there for him, as I'm sure you already are. Hang in there. He needs some time and he needs your patience.
