clique

Question Posted Saturday January 27 2007, 1:00 pm

i have a big clique of friends and i always have to ask them if i can go to the mall or movies with them and i dont like inviting myself, but they dont invite me that often. i invite them to places but i get sick of always having to ask them. they are really nice but i guess having a big clique only leaves to big problems. i really want them to be the ones to invite me to hang out because i always have to ask them and i sound desperate. don't get me wrong they are the greatest friends i could ask for so yeah. any tips?

If theyre the greatest friends and your close maybe they dont invite you because they asuume youll come. but if you feel like your being desperate maybe you need to reconsider who your friends are because you should never feel like you have to beg for friendship.truthfully if you know theyre your friends and theyre not just blowing you off and there are alot of people in your group then their probably just caught up in their own lives and heads and probably dont even realize this is bothering you. if they come when you invite them and treat you good then maybe your one of the inviters or people who plan things and keep people togeather not a bad thing. if your friends and togeather and happy and noones leaving you out or ignoring you then what does it matter. another possibility is if your quiet or put up walls easily then maybe they feel uncomfortable asking you or like their begging you to come...personally i dont think its a big deal as long as you know who your friends are and arent. as long as its positive and your all togeather having a good time.

I think Katie had a good idea. I had a large clique of friends at my school and that would happen to me but i realized i always got called or informed by these 3 girls. A lot of drama occurs as my school and before I knew,I found out who my true friends where those three girls. The moral of that was to try and become closer to just a few girls and things will be easier, or they should if they are you true friends.

Well it's apparent that you really like this big group of friends, so keep inviting them places. Pick out two or three people who you get along with the best and invite them, and only them, to hang out. Get close to them. Make them your best of your best friends. That way at least they will start inviting you places.
