SCRATCHY THROAT+AUDITION=BAD
i have a really scratchy throat and i feel like my nose is all snotted up and so is my throat. like there's a lot of really bad drainage only its thick so i can't breathe as well.
WHAT SHOULD I DO? this can't be strep. it doesn't feel like it.

My choir teacher always advised us to NOT drink milk, coffee, cappuccino, etc because it makes the throat coated with mucus. I suggest drinking things such as hot teas.

ask a parent or go to the doctor! you could just be having a bad sore throat. drink lots and lots of hot fluids, talk in whispers and not often, buy some over the counter sore throat medecine, and once again, go the the doctor! they can perscribe that will work =].

If your nose is clogged up and there is bad drainage something that REALLY helps me, and i mean REALLY HELPS! It does miracles within 10 minutes. nasonex is the brand of the nose spray, you could pick it up at a drug store or like CVS, rite-aid, stores like that. it's good for allergies too. for your throat, drink LOTS of water that's luke warm because it loosens up your vocal chords. trust me it works really fast! or to numb the pain try one of those things you spray in the back of your throat...the commercials with the guy that goes "tell you throat to just chill!" you know that one? well they taste bad but i hear good feedback. good luck and hope i helped!
