SuperDuperJess answered Saturday January 27 2007, 3:17 pm: Daer Horse-Lover,
Well nearly all of my friends have a horse, but i dont, but i DO know alot about them. My next-door neighbour has her own horse, but she used to have a horse on loan. She paid £20.00 a month for this horse, but she had to buy all of the rugs, saddles and such like, but if you live in Americia you will need to find out from what i have told you!
Good Luck!
cheergurl answered Wednesday January 24 2007, 7:54 pm: I think it mostly just depends on where you live and where you go. There are some places that basically think they are the best boarding place around and charge unreasonable prices, but then there are some that are cheap but are horrible places that you should not place your horse. Depending on what state your in also depends because there are some states that don't have as many boarding facilities so therefor the ones that they do have could be ungodly prices. It all depends on what you want in a borading stable some of them just board you have to go clean the stall feed it etc. but some places do all of that for you. The costs of all this if you only have one horse with boarding, shoes, vet would probably be around $650 - $700 a month, and then if you want training the expenses will go up even further depending on the type of training. Make sure that you check the place out before you take your horse there because you don't want to take them somewhere and then realize after the fact that its an unsafe environment. Also if your in need of a vet or a farrier talk around and find the best ones because theres nothing worse than a lame horse that you cant do anything with or worse one that sick and your vet doesn't have time to come out and look. This has happened to many friends of mine so just make sure for the sake of your horse you have some good ones. If you have any other horse questions at all please ask I have been around my horses my whole life and I will be more than happy to answer any of your questions. Happy trails!! summerbeautyxoxo answered Wednesday January 24 2007, 7:07 pm: Well my horse cost my family about $ 2,500.. But we knew the owner, so she discounted him for us.. but im imagining most other horses are around that area
boarding for us is $530
shoes are $40 a time, but it needs to be done every 4- 6 weeks..
my horse gets his anual yearly shots for $100..
but everything can increase in ammount if your horse gets sick..
It also costs a lot of time, and effort in keeping a horse..
hope this helps..!!~ [ summerbeautyxoxo's advice column | Ask summerbeautyxoxo A Question ]
