Book

Question Posted Monday January 22 2007, 10:33 pm

I'm doing a project in English & I need to have a book. I'm having a lot of trouble finding one so I was hoping someone could help me out.

I'm interested in books like "Go Ask Alice" & things about teenage things that I can relate to. It has to be around 300 pages. I don't want Gossip Girls or anything like that, so does anyone have any good suggestions?

Thank you so much. I'm going to the library tomorrow so help before then would be appriciated.

Hopefully you can't relate tooooo much to Go Ask Alice. But seriously Go Ask Alice & The Lovely Bones are my all time favorite books. I reallyy recommend reading T.L.B., it is amazing! You might also like the book Perfect. It's about one teenage girl's struggle with bulemia. Have fun choosing.

The Catcher in the Rye, The Lovely Bones, The Burn Journals, Godless, Cut, and Under the Wolf, Under the Dog are all books I enjoyed. The last one is somewhat depressing, though.

xostarbrightbaby has the right idea, Lovely Bones is a really great book and your teacher has probably heard of it too.
Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld is also a really good book. I thought it would be very Gossip Girl-esque but it wasn't anything like that at all.
The Perfect Age by Heather Skylar is also said to be a very good coming-of-age book but I haven't read it yet.
Catcher in the Rye is also amazing. Your teacher will really appreciate this one. It's a classic.
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë is my favourite book ever but it takes place in the Victorian Era.

Blood and chocolate is not the most girly book but it has a lot to do with relationships and you'll love it if they have it try it out.

I just read I'd Tell You I'd Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You. It's a pretty god book about a girl who goes to spy school & she meets a guy but she can't tell him the truth about her life.

Speak is also a pretty good book. This girl gets raped at a party, and shuts the whole thing down. Then everyone hates her until they find out what's really going on. The movie to it is pretty good as well. =)

I recently just read Lovely Bones by: Alice Seabold, it`s more of a suspence and a murder book but it has such a good ending, it`s approx. 400 pages. Another great book is Twilight by: Stephenie Meyer. The book is unbelievably amazing. It`s one of those books you CAN`T put down, it`s either 400-500 pages. Hope this helps ♥
