only the good die young. yesterday two of my friends died as well as one of my good friends in the hospital in critial condition because of it. she has a 50% chance of living and will have permant brain damage no matter what.
i'm the sophomore vice president and i am planning on talking to my priciple into having a memorial service for them. i would like to know if anyone had any other idea's than the ones i already had - letting go of balloons at the end
- getting maybeee a memorial stone
- about 5 people lighting a candle in memory
- a slide show
- talking about how they effect their life and just little stories to let other people understand what they were like when they were alive
-thanks <3

I'm sorry for your loss. I know exactly how this feels.
Anyways, for the slide show, play music that they liked.
I think your ideas are great, and that's more than enough. I woud do all of them together. =)
Once again, I'm sorry for your loss. It sucks a ton.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Is there any music they particularly liked? Were any of them involved in school activities that could be involved in a tribute (a band playing a song, for instance, or a sports team dedicating a trophy)?
I hope this doesn't sound too insensitive but I'd really, really appreciate if you reconsidered letting go of balloons. The concept is beautiful, but the ramifications aren't--birds could easily choke on the pieces of rubber and die. It could also affect other animals, and the environment in general.
I think the most important thing is to remember them for who they were. Find little ways to make it personal. Maybe play to their little quirks. If they loved comedy, try and incorporate that in some way. If there were any class projects they were particularly proud of, maybe they could be displayed?
I think it's great what you're doing for them. I hope your friend in the hospital recovers as well as she can under her circumstances. ]
I'm so sorry for your loss...
At my school we have a memorial stone and a tree for a dead classmate. Its really pretty, and maybe you would like to plant a nice tree in memory of your freinds too?
Stick in there-
