I was going to get my teeth professionally whitened, but I have the same problem as you-I have a small bond on one of my front teeth.

What worked well for me may not work well for you; it depends how big your bond is.

Because no, regular dentist whitening services [basically an increase of bleach using carbamide peroxide in a short period of time] will not whiten crowns, caps, or bonds. They can take out the bond and re-insert one matching your new tooth color, but that hurts & will cost a lot of money. What I did was buy Crest Whitestrips, or Remembrant Whitening Strips [which worked better, but it's personal preference]. They whiten your teeth, but only a small amount, so while your bond won't get bleached, it won't stick out. Plus, even if it does, it'll go away in a few months.

Hope this helped.

Dental work usually doesn't whiten. Some procedures may whiten it a little though.

Also, your dentist could put a lighter color of bonding material over the bond after he whitens, so it blends in better. Ask him what he recommends- I'm sure there's a way.
