okay, so I was thinking about buying my friend a necklace for her birthday, I already found something she would like and the material is the same as this one

The chain looks to be sterling silver, but I could be confusing it with white gold, but silver is inexpensive, white gold is astronomical in price in comparison.

As for the octopus, I can't tell. It may be metal, plastic, or some sort of jewelery clay.
