jesusfreak92 answered Thursday January 18 2007, 12:38 am: well snorkling is just with a snorkle and not scuba gear; there is no special equipment to help you breath, just a tube type thing to breath out of when your near the surface.
scuba diving is with a wet suit, air tank etc.
it allows you to go deeper with out having to go up for a breath and what not. Also you have to have a license to go scuba diving.
blwinteler answered Thursday January 18 2007, 12:16 am: Snorkeling uses a mask and a tube. You have one end of the tube in your mouth and the other sticking out of the water so you can breathe. You are limited to the surface of the water.
SCUBA diving is very different. It stands for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. That means you have an air tank on your back so you can go much deeper and still breath. [ blwinteler's advice column | Ask blwinteler A Question ]
