Can't find it!

Question Posted Sunday January 14 2007, 2:24 pm

So, there's a song I totally fell in love with. The song is "Love Me Dead" by the band Ludo. I've looked on iTunes and Purevolume, but I can't find a downloadable copy anywhere. The band used to have it on their myspace and it's on their purevolume page, but it's not loadable.

Is there anyway to access this song and download it? I know it's pirating, but you don't understand- I'm in LOVE with this song.

Someone help!

ok. so i am a hard-core ludo ninja. the truth of the matter is that the only way to get a copy of that song (i have tried and other ways have proven impossible) is to wait and see if it is on their new CD. it's not out yet and i haven't heard when it will be. but that was just a demo, they wanted to know what everyone thought of the song before they considered recording it. but in august of last year they expressed interest in getting it recorded. so cross your fingers and have patience. in a couple of months you may be able to buy the song.

Have you tried Limewire? Try that but if it doesn't work I'm sorry. Good luck.

If I were you the first thing I would do is go back to the band's Myspace page. Send them a note (no matter how well-known the group someone reads it be it a manager or PR person) and point out that such and such a song they do is one of your favorites and you cannot find it on a CD, Itunes etc and that it used to be on their page.

Ask why it was taken off first of all, then ask if they have any plans of relaoding it any time soon to Myspace and making it so fans can in fact download it into an Ipod.

Odds are, it was from a demo reel and they wanted to gauge reactions before recording it for a CD. 9 times out of ten that's the case with bands. But before you look elsewhere start with their Myspace page or official page and write in.

If you want to guarentee a response find out who their publicist or manager is by using the Internet and write directly to them because they are the decision makers and not the group when it comes to recordings and tours and running the day to day stuff for said group.

Altavista.com has proven a very valuable resource for songs for me. What you do is click "mp3/audio", and deselect all the options but "mp3", then search "Love Me Dead+Ludo".
