garden

Question Posted Saturday January 13 2007, 10:43 am

ok so i'm writin a story about a garden, any way the woman is building a garden sort of area on the side of a mountain/hill. in the story it could be a place that gets sunlight, but not TONS and it's set in the summer. it should be a pretty plant that she is planting mostly. Any ideas? what flowers would be good to grow in the summer in this setting?

Hey. This is more of a crop but it is a plant. Try a gooseberry. They were originally found on mountains. They Are flowers with green and pink flushed petals that open in early spring. They like morning sun but they do get sunburnt (meaning they wither) in over 85 degrees. Also, salvia's which do well in hot, dry conditions. As for if they can be grown on a mountain I'm not completley sure. I really hope this helped and good luck with your story! I love writing! =)
