I've never gone to a gynecologist before. What is it like? What do they do to you and what's going through your mind? I'm really nervous and having someone other than my boyfriend touch me down there, is weird.

IM_SO_HARDCORE answered Monday January 15 2007, 12:04 am: well, the people below my the exact procedure, but i'll tell you my experience. i HATE, and i mean DEATHLY afraid of pain. i'm such a baby at EVERYTHING. so my first time, i was so nervous it made me sick. all the did to me was lay me on a table[in one of those nightgowns, which i was naked] and they actually have to put a finger or two inside of you, but that doesn't hurt a bit. and then they have like a little balloon thing, and if opens up as it goes inside, and that doesn't hurt either. going to the gynecologist isn't painful, but it was very uncomfortable to me, just being touched. so there is basically no pain, it is a little weird, but it's not horrible [ IM_SO_HARDCORE's advice column | Ask IM_SO_HARDCORE A Question ]
