Very briefly.
I know this sounds weird...but
I am so paranoid that I cant sleep.
I believe that there is some paranormal
or supernatural spirit in my home that
will hurt me. I have taken over and
perscript. drugs for this but nothing
has helped. I am afraid to sleep!! This
is affecting my daily life. I plan on
going to see a psychiatrist soon but
making the appt. and all takes a while.
So until then what can I do? I have already looked at many sites and found nothing helful enough.

Are there any things that would make you feel better, such as burning sage (which is a Native American tradition to clarify a place and neutralize bad spirits)? Is there a protective spirit, perhaps of a loved one, whom you can call on to protect you while you sleep? Are you religious and of the belief that God can and will protect you? I'm not sure I believe in spirits harming the living, but what matters is what you believe is going on. I'm glad you're seeing a psychiatrist who can help confirm which of your perceptions are reality and which could be delusional. Take care of yourself. This must be very, very hard for you to deal with.
