Paranoia/Insomnia

Question Posted Friday January 12 2007, 6:40 pm

Briefly.

Okay...this sounds kind of strange but I am afriad to sleep! I am verrrry paranoid of things and that has been proven. BUT its affecting me so bad that its ruining my daily life! I cant sleep simply because I am believe there is a paranormal/supernatural spirit in my home that will hurt me. I tried taking perscript. drugs but it only makes me more tired and I also have looked up things online but I cant find anything to help me. I will be making an appt. to see a psychiatrist but until then what do I do?

wow... some of those answers were like.. wack job *trys not to make eye contact* lol

I have the same problem!! Its really creepy, i've gotten over it within the last year or so, but I do believe in paranormal spirits. anyway, I found a few things that helped me, was for me, saying a quick prayer for comfort. a few other things I did, was going to bed before everybody else, and leaving my door open so I could hear everybody else in the house.
plus, I know you can tdo this, but I just got a dog, and he wanders around the house, so I just convincd myself it was all the dog, bumping into things.
I dont know what Religion you are, but i've had Priesthood blessings for comfort and protection.
I really hope this gets better for you, and that I helped. if you have any other questions, go ahead and drop me a question.

if your convinced there's something in your room, i would go down to a catholic church or something and get holy water to bless your room.
i found that i felt wayy safer after, cuz i felt like god was protecting me.
also, maybe you can try going to bed earlier, so you won't be up so late trying to fall asleep. cuz then, you would at least fall asleep a few hours earlier and get a little more sleep.

hope i helped.

It might make you feel better to wear some kind of talisman, draw a circle, get some holy water, or say some spells. None of those are hard to do. You could sleep in a public place, or away from home. Maybe sleep during the daytime on a bench in an airport or subway.
