Sabine answered Friday January 12 2007, 12:29 am: Not likely. You need a ripened egg in your fallopian tube in order to get pregnant. During your menses, the egg you released most recently has degraded and is being released with the tissue. Your next one will ripen and be released in about 14 days from the first day of your period. It's not out of the question (for example, if you didn't get your period, but instead experienced spotting as the embryo attached to your uterine wall), but is highly unlikely, especially if your cycle is regular and you know you were due for your period.
