You have obviously seen a doctor so why didn't you ask your doctor? I'm sure your doctor has everything under control. Any medical questions that you have should be directed to your doctor, not an online forum. I wouldn't want to put my health in the hands of strangers online. I hope you wouldn't either. Good luck.

Yes. You were tested for mono, not lupus.

Uh. Positive mono test is not required for a diagnosis of Lupus. They're not connected. Mononucleosis is caused by the epstein-barr virus. Lupus is caused by genetic and environmental factors and MAY be triggered by a viral infection, such as epstein-barr.

The average time from onset of lupus symptoms to diagnosis is 4 years. It's hard to diagnose. Your doctor may be ruling out everything else first.

Even if you do have it, don't panic. I've had a variation called Mixed Connective Tissue Disease for 12 years now and it hasn't killed me.
