13/f i've been having my period for 10 months now but anyways, when i woke up this morning there was this HUGE spot of blood on my pajama pants and now i have another dot about the size of a quarter on my shorts. how do i make it stop going thru? i switch like 3 or 4 times a day but it still goes thru, and im worried that it will happen at school one day i use thick pads already.

Maybe give some free advice about: Health? runawayxlove answered Sunday January 7 2007, 4:26 pm: hey, well when i first got my period i used to wear huge very thick pads. i found that they were very uncomfortable. then i tried like slimfit petite sized tampons. i read the directions on how to insert them correctly first. once i got used to wearing a tampon i moved up to regular sized ones and wore a thin pad. once i got responsible in changing my tampon in school as needed [depending on how heavy my flow was], i ditched the pad. on the day when my period isnt very heavy i use regular sized tampons. on the day when it is very heavy i use the super size ones. TEENAGExHEARTS answered Sunday January 7 2007, 4:09 pm: your period usually starts out heavy and then smaller before it ends. so for the first couple of days on your period change your pad every 3-4 hours. or wear super tampons with a thin panty liner under it just in case.
