My parents want to give me a credit card for my 16th bday. How can they give me one that goes to their account?

If they give you want that goes to their account that would be more like a debit card then credit. Girl you are turning sixteen:):). You need freedom.
To do that they would have to contact the credit card company they are applied to, and access an "automatic charge" or something like that, that takes the money out of their account right when you use it.

Call up the company and tell them that they want to add another authorized user, and they need their own card!!

they can always add another card.
they just have to ask the credit card company.
it`ll all be the same account tho.
