is it ok to bleed after having sex if ur not a virgin anymor

sometimes after having sex with my boyfriend i will start to bleed. it isnt very much but its some. i dont know what i should do cause it freaks me out that there might be something wrong with me. what should i do?

You should do three things. First, make sure you have enough lube. Second, insert your finger to try to find out where the blood is coming from. If it's coming from the entrance to the vagina, it's probably a friction issue. If it's coming from the cervix, there could be a problem. The third thing to do is see your gynecologist, armed with as much information as possible about how much blood and where it's coming from and whether it's on the condom, if applicable, and what brands of birth control, spermicide, etc. you use.
