Question Posted Saturday December 30 2006, 9:40 pm
There's this girl named Jenna and she's a grade level higher than I am. She's my good friend and all but I envy her sometimes especially in the guy section. I'm gonna be mean and say that she's not the pretty skinny type or has that good of a personality. She's really bossy and controlling and kind of dull sometimes going on and on about dresses...
Well, I like these guys that are in her grade and they're good friends of mine also. The thing is that Jenna always seems to beat me to them some way or another. She doesn't know I like them--no one does--so it's not like she's stealing them from me deliberately. But this one guy that I am soo crushing on--she went out with him last year--twice. This other guy that I like, she went to homecoming with him.
I don't know what I'm doing when I try to act like her to see if the crushes will like me--I know sad. How do I control my envy and what should I do? And I'm not into the whole confronting her or telling people who I like. So what adivce can any of you guys give me on this?
xXxPorschexXx answered Saturday December 30 2006, 11:30 pm: Well i think you should definately be yourself and dont try and be anyone else because if you dont think she is pretty and has a rash personality then it will be very hard to be her and make it work! I think you should be yourself and go for guys that will like you for who you are! Because they are the ones that are going to stick around the longest and have better relationships with! You will have wonderfull plus sides to yourself and you should find them and exploit them more! If you need advice on how to catch a guys attention ask Jenna because she obviously knows how! And because shes your friend she should be happy to help, but my advice would be stop telling her who you like because if your affraid she may steal them then give her a false name or dont tell her at all! but i really hope some of this has helped!! and i hope it all works for you!
