Sims 2 Error

Question Posted Saturday December 30 2006, 12:17 am

I've had the Sims 2 for a while now and I've downloaded it on my computer about a year ago, played it, got bored, then deleted it. I tried downloading it again and about 15% into the download it said "TSData/Res/Sound/Sfx1.package". I thought it was just my computer. I got a laptop for Christmas and I tried to install it on here and that message comes up again! What is and how can I fix it? I don't want to buy a new game and it can't be my computer.

You can download a copy of it using bittorent, and since you already own it, it's not illegal. Download Azureus, Bitcomet, or utorrent and then go to btjunkie.com and search for sims 2. If it has a disk image(.iso, .mdf, .cue) in it, then download DAEMON tools to run them.

I think that the cd is scratched. :( That happened to me and I ended up buying a new one. But maybe you can go to the FAQ in www.thesims2.com and there they can help you. Talk to a professional there and hopefully you are playing the game soon!!!!(i love that game)
Just next time, dont delete it! Hope it works!!!
