Plug in your iPod to your new laptop; it'll come up with a dialogue that'll say something like, "This iPod is synched with another computer's library" and click no, you do not want to update using THIS computer.

So now you're gonna go to My Computer. Under the "Tools" menu, go to "Folder Options..." and click the "View" tab. Click "Show Hidden Files and Folders" then click ok. Now, your iPod should show up under "devices with removeable storage" (it'll be faded out though)

Now, you're gonna click on the iPod icon that showed up, and go to iPod_control. There's a "music" folder with 6 folders named F00, F01, etc. Make a folder (either on your desktop or My Music, wherever you keep your music files). Open each folder (the F00 ones), click on a file ( they'll have names like HFJR, but that's okay), and hit CRTL+A (to select all) then CTRL+C (to copy) Then, open the new folder you just created & paste(CTRL+V). Repeat for all six folders.

Then, open iTunes and click File->Add Folder to Library->[folder name you created] and click OK.

& all your songs should be there!
:)
