Question Posted Thursday December 28 2006, 2:06 pm
Hey, I know I already posted a question yesterday, but from the advice I got...I was wondering if I ate healthy(without purging or anything)..like No red meats, some white meat, no sodas, some whole grain, fruits and vegetable and exercise up to an hour a day...how much weight could I lose in a week.
When I was purging, I was able to drop at least 5 pounds a weeks some weeks.
But would I be able to lose more than the maximum of 2 pounds a week by eating like that? I am wanting to lose about 25 pounds before I go prom dress shopping at the end of March and for prom at the end of April.
Also, next year is my senior year in August, and we have senior pictures, and I'm afraid I'm going to be deathly fat for them!
(17 years old)
You dropped 5 lbs in a week by purging...somewhere in the back of your head you had to anticipate that it wasn't going to work very effective for an extended period of time, and now that point is solidified. You really have to stop wanting to lose so much so quick- it happened to you once before as you're saying and now you're on here looking for advice on how to do it the right way. Before pounds get lost- unreasonable expectations must be lost. You'll have plenty of time to do this the right way provided you eat clean and often and exercise sufficiently.
People think we trainers hold some secret knowledge and get mad when we don't act as Magi immediately...I am just like you- It takes TIME for me to get to a target weight and I have to eat clean and often to get there. Our bodies may be different but the principles are all the same- solid nutrition, good exercise and a positive mental attitude. All 3 combined equals success and weight loss that you can actually keep. [ MikeCFT's advice column | Ask MikeCFT A Question ]

good luck

You'll loose weight and will see results. DO NOT PURGE!!! if you do, then you are bulimic, and there are alot of consequences. Do not play with eating disorders, they are life threatning. Google it!!! Also heres a tip: the less you eat, the slower your metabolism is... [ xxlilreddivaxx's advice column | Ask xxlilreddivaxx A Question ]
