Omg... A dare gone wrong!

Question Posted Thursday December 28 2006, 12:55 am

okay so i have this friend and she likes this guy. we were talking on aim and she gave me his aim and wanted me to do some dare. i didnt really think to much about it, and did it. It was like "my mom shaves my armpits" or something retarded like that. the guy doesnt/didnt know who i was, so he was like "whos this?" and I responded by blocking him. later on, like.. the next day, his friend got my sn from him and kept asking me who i was. i think i'd heard of her before, judging from her screenname, but i didnt want to be found out then and there. because its not the best first impression. also, she goes to my school, and is in my grade. and i dont want bad gossip going around because of me and some stupid prank. anyway, then today, which was like about a month later, the girl said that she'd been getting similar stories from her other friends, and wanted to know who i was and if i was stalking them or something, which i totally wasn't, since the only way I knew him somewhat was from descriptions from that friend who liked him. and im confused because the only person she could be talking about would be that guy from before. and would he STILL be worried about that? jeez. anyways, she kept asking, and i told her what i thought, that i didnt know her, my grade and school (so she knew i wasnt some random chick), and that was like.. it. i even told her it was a dare and i didnt want her to tell others of what i did.. cuz that would ruin my rep, probably. she said that she wouldnt tell cross-her-heart etc but there is no way she wouldnt! thank god for a friend on aim who convinced me not to tell, say buh bye, then block her. and im invisible now, so that one of her friends or her in a diff account dont try to piss me off again! do you think i handled this situation well? or what else can i do to fix this? i really just want them to forget about this dumb dare. gosh..

From an annoyed 13 year old girl.

hey, well you said its been a month. if its already been that long i dont think that there planning on forgetting about it. i would come clean and tell the girl everything. thats the best way to go, because if you dont i think this problem is going to get worse. once the girl finds out, shes not going to hate you over some stupid dare. the worst thing that shes going to do is laugh about it. eventually she will forget about it after knowing what it all was about. next time make sure your comfortable with the dare that your doing, so you wont get in this situation again. good luck =].

honestly, it wouldnt ruin your rep if someone found out who you were. this is a stupid situation *not you..just the way the other girl is acting. if you want to tell her, then tell her and be done with it. the worst scenario: shed tell her friends..theyd laugh..theyd get over it. they're not going to hate you
