BooYouWhore answered Tuesday December 26 2006, 5:54 pm: i'm not sure of how to make your hair grow faster, my dad's a hairdresser, but i'm not really sure. I'd just suggest trimming it every month or so so that it stays healthier to avoid split ends and such.
as far as the dry scalp, i have that too. The best thing for you to do is go to a beauty supply or salon and talk to the professionals there. Try finding moisterizing shampoos or something specifically for dandruff, because thats pretty much what it is. you may have to try a few different things (which is what i'm doing) before you find what works best for you.

Otherwise, moisturizing shampoos and olive oil/hair mask treatments should be enough to alleviate it. Also, those products will also help your hair be stronger, so it won't break as much (resulting in longer, silkier hair)
Trim your hair when you start seeing a lot of split ends. Just enough to get rid of them though. Hair, on average, grows 1/2 an inch a month, so keep that in mind when you get it trimmed. Cutting hair won't make it grow any faster (since it only affects the ends, which are dead) but it WILL keep split ends from breaking/splitting/getting too dry, which will keep your hair from growing longer.
Lastly, using as little heat as possible (from hair dyrers, straighteners, curling irons) will keep your hair as healthy as it can be.

But the best thing to do would probably be to talk to your hairdresser. They can usually help with both, and while you're there, get a short trim, it will be a bit shorter for a while, but hair grows faster when it thinks it needs too (ie the hair on your legs right after you shave them)so talk to your stylist, hopefull yhey can help more than I did! Good luck hope you get the hair you (and your boyfriend) have always dreamed of!
