Question Posted Thursday December 14 2006, 6:38 pm
I'm going on my first cruise. We're going to the carribean. The problem is on other boats I get really seasick. Many people have said that you won't get seasick on a cruise because the boat is so big, and you can't feel it rocking back and forth, or something like that. any feedbak from people who have been on a cruise and get seasick from other ships. did you get seasick on the cruise? thanks!!

I was only on it for 2 days and unfortunatly (since I don't get seasick on smaller boats) I didn't think I would get sick and I didn't prepare. I got a bad headache the second night I was there and missed out on a lot. The second cruise I went on, I went after finding out I was 2 months pregnant and I am not sure if I got seasick or not because I was sick from the baby :-D. But my sister gets sick on smaller boats and they do have special patches at the store that you wear behind your ear when you are on boats to help you keep from getting seasick. (And trust me when I say, you will not be the only one wearing them) A lot of people on cruise ships wear the patches and they worked so good on my sister she used them on the second cruise too. Ahnee answered Thursday December 14 2006, 7:18 pm: its really not likely you'll get seasick on a cruise ship. basically because it is so big movement doesn't travel as harshly as on a regular small boat. sometimes you'll be there and totally forget you're even on a boat. i wouldnt worry.
oh btw if you're taking those seasick pills, DONT take them while you're actually on the boat. it makes it worse. if you already knew that, sorry heh [ Ahnee's advice column | Ask Ahnee A Question ]
