Froob is an even worse kind of noob (newbie): they beg, spam, scam, are annoying, follow you, and don't even try learning the game

Off the top of my head its a gamer term. Noob, your new, inexperienced, a noob. A froob iirc is someone who is not only a noob, but someone who is playing a game (such as an MMO) for free, whereas the 'experienced' players had to pay for it in the past.
I ran into this when I tried Anarchy:Online for a bit while they were running the free offer, and I was termed a froob by the original players as I never dropped any money to actually buy the game.
