LimeWire. Its really good, but it will slow your computer down a lot.
Morpheus. I tryed it. I mean its decent, but not all that reliable.

I strongly recommend BitTorrent. Its not illegal, and its free. I use it, and it works really well. And if you want to download a full CD you can.

i'd say limewire, except its illegal, but i know a lot of people that use it and are very content with it.
also, if you download songs, you most likely WONT get any viruses =]
if you download videos (porn, maybe? haha) you most likely will get viruses
but i suggest limewire its good!

If you don't mind downloading a client, limewire.com and bearshare.com are, in my limited experience, the best options.

A torrent website is you best bet if you don't want to download a program.

But really, the best thing you can do is download a few songs from the bands that you're looking into and go buy their album. Not only is it morally righteous, but you support the artist, and get MUCH better sound quality than downloaded 128kbps mp3s.

if you're looking for a specific song, go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
If you're just browsing, get a bittorent client such as azureus and go to
[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
bittorent is less dangerous than limewire; in my experience there's less malware.

limewire is really good. you can get movies and videos too. it all free an easy.

it also kind of messes up your computer, but sometimes it doesn't, like for me it didn't. so beware of that.
