it is definitely worth it, ive been seeing mine since i was 6 years old. it took me a while to talk to her about stuff. but i realized she wouldnt judge me at all. no matter what i told her. so you keep seeing them, and if people tell you its not worth it dont listen. it is great getting out all your feelings without being judged. also if u need someone to talk to when youre not there u can always feel free to talk to me. =]

i say that going to a counseler or therapist is worth it, if you can find the right one for you. i have severe anxiety disorder [panic attacks] and i go to a therapist for that. it took me about 5 different trys for the right therapist but now that i have one that i feel comfortable talking to and that really gets me, it helps alot. i say, when you find the right one, it will deffinatly be worth it! ♥ megan

I'm not sure what to tell you - personally I go to a counciler. Some of them are good some of them are not so good. I used to feel that I wanted to tell people things - that if i wrote a jornal I wish someone would find it and actualy heard my feelings. If this is your case, you might need to go to a counciler ... or if you can find someone else thats good - or you might end up talking to yourself like I am >_< ...

I go to a counselor. If you go, you'll probably think they're some pyscho freak that's trying to get in your personal business, but the more you talk to them, the better you'll like yours. That's what happened to me, at least. :]
And if nothing else, you can talk to me. [People say that I'm easy to talk to sometimes, because I'm not biased.]

Don't keep it bottled up inside. I think you should go to a counsler. You could always trust your counsler if you tell him/her to keep it between you two.

Daimeera answered Tuesday December 12 2006, 6:34 pm:
I'm currently seeing a psychologist and it was a decision I'm glad I made. I saw her several years ago, too, when I was dealing with different issues.

They're trained to listen without judging, but also sometimes tell you the things you need to hear (in my situation this time, I NEEDED a gigantic kick in the butt and she was able to do that for me).

It's really a matter of finding a therapist you're compatible with. You're obviously not going to feel comfortable spilling your guts immediately, but if you feel like it's someone you CAN trust, you're on the right track. If you don't feel like you can trust him or her, move on and find someone else.

Good luck. It's totally worth it if you're willing to be honest and really want to change.

psychiatrists actually help alot. believe me, they don't get all that money for nothing. but after a month or two if you don't feel like it's working then just leave. but if you think you need help, seriously, you should definitely go see a psychiatrist.
