tryouts
im very active in my school`s music program, and I`m always in the plays, and tryouts are next week, I am almost guaranteed to get it, i know i have a good voice, but I really want to try out with a song that really shows off my voice.. i am an alto, and i cant really sing higher than c or d in my chest voice, does anyone know a good song to tryout with?

"if I were a bell" from guys and dolls is a really good one. I've seen a lot of peope do well with it.
Also try "When You're Good To Mama" from Chicago.

hmmm so you only do chest voice? are you a belter? try "anything goes" or "i get a kick out of you" from the show anything goes. it's definately alto. you could try "if i were a bell" from guys & dolls. it's a little bit higher if i remember right bet it'd be a nice one to belt. anything else, just let me know. <3
