Okay, so I have a friend I met over the internet. Her name is Mary, and we've been talking for almost two years.
She seems like a real kid, but I'm not really sure of what I can trust.
I dont know how to tell, and I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to know for sure.
So, she just asked for my address, to be able to exchange presents. I've talked to her on the phone before, but I've always thought there's SOMETHING you can do to fake that... (I get this from my mom). So I dont know whether I should actually give the address or anything. My dad knows I'm still talking to her, but my mom dosen't.

On another hand if you dad knows you talk to her maybe ask him what he thinks and is he is okay with it then sure give it to you. Its you choice.
BoriquaGirl145 answered Tuesday December 12 2006, 5:43 pm: I think you shouldnt give her your address beacuase she's probably pretending to be nice with you and probably will go to your address and do something to you and your mom and dad dont want that to happen to you, right? So take my advice and you'll feel great about your decision.:)Please leave me a comment. LoveNJstyle answered Tuesday December 12 2006, 5:29 pm: is there an alternate address they could send it to? at my gradeschool, we had our penpals send our stuff to the school. maybe a P.O box or somewhere your parents work?
i would avoid giving her the house address so see if they can send it somewhere else? dont send it to an adandoned house... they might have stopped mail before they left.
but at the same time... 2 years is a long time to be faking a different gender/age. i guess it depends how far away they live but maybe there is another way. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
mysteriousR answered Tuesday December 12 2006, 5:14 pm: One word: NO... I saw a video at school once about this it could be some weird stalker person. The video I saw talked about stuff like that. People get killed, raped, and kidnapped for giving personal information on the internet.Sorry if I'm scaring you but I'm just saying to save you. But if you want to really meet this person maybe ask for his/her address instead and maybe have your parents take you there OR it can be the other way around but with your parents with you. Amandaax3 answered Tuesday December 12 2006, 4:24 pm: okay well i think you shouldn't give her your address no matter what she says just in case or maybe if you have an old abandoned house by where you live you can give her that address and see if shes really faking it. kimberlygal answered Tuesday December 12 2006, 4:19 pm: ask your dad or whoever you feel comfortable asking if you should or shouldn't but if you gave her your phone number then... it doesnt make a difference i mean if she has your number she can just type it in on yellowpages an get your address there but just ask your parents because you don't want to get in trouble for doing something they didn't want you to do [ kimberlygal's advice column | Ask kimberlygal A Question ]
