After the age of 18, make yearly visits with your Dr. Catching lumps in your brest early enough is the best way to fight it. Maybe one day there will be a cure to prevent such a awful thing. If you are worried that someone in your family had it and you may get it, the chances aren't very high(: I'm not saying you won't though because that's not a guarantee, anyone could! But usually when it runs in the family you have a higher risk. You could go to the doctor and get tested for it but if you don't have it you could still develop it.
