Here's what I did:
1)Get together with your partner on multiple occasions and practice together, but have your practice audience in the next room. Tell your friend she gets a donut if they can hear her speech in the next room.
2)Practicing alone? I know this is going to sound weird but practice in your underwear. taht way, if you happen to forget your pants you won't be nervous. Just kidding. But that will make you more confident. Just think, "If I can do this in my friggin underwear then I should be able to do this with pants on no sweat!"
3)And the girl who talks about people? I've got a great trick. Try to give her eye contact as you speak. Stare her down girl! And as long as you take care to look fabulous on the 13th she wont have anything to say about you anyway!
Above all remember it's just a speech and try to have fun with it. Fake it till you make it. The more comfortable you look up there, the more comfortable you will actually FEEL [ bluejeanbaby's advice column | Ask bluejeanbaby A Question ]

And after you're done, none of them will remember a word you said.
They've been where you are before. I'll bet you none of them like giving presentations either.
